The left side of the window represents mechanical engineering.  Note the belt in the left hand reaching a pulley at the bottom, the hexagonal unit, the drive shaft, and the hammer in the left hand with the handle showing.  The right side represents civil engineering.  Note the transit and tripod with rod and stake.  At the top left - the mechanical ship and on the right the airplane representing maritime and aeronautical engineering respectively.
