This window features two doctors.  The doctor on the left with a staff represents the practicing physician and the doctor on the right with the skull represents medical research.  At the top is the serpent and staff, the current symbol of medicine, and at the left the cock of Escalopius, the ancient symbol of medicine.  Note also the ermine, a historic sign of power and influence.  Also note acorns and oak leaves, the ancient symbols of the beginning and fruition of life.
